Dinka (as called in Marathi) also known as edible glue in English and Gond in Hindi is a resin that is extracted from the bark of the axle-wood tree.


Gond is known to be eaten in winter as it is known to provide heat. Also as per knowledge passed on from ancient  times, Gond ladoos are given to Pregnant women as they help in lactating.
